So yesterday Jarin and I spent most of the afternoon getting his car to pass safety and emmisions inspection. (I recorded conference and watched it later that evening). His car did not pass because of a crack in the windshield. So we found someone who was open and could get us in right away and took his car to them to replace the windshield. At about 2:30 this morning we here the doorbell ring followed by a loud knock at the door. We sleepily open the door to find a police man. He informed us that someone had went through our nieghborhood shooting windows out of random cars. Jarin's car happened to be one of the lucky ones. Although they did not get his windshield, they got the two side windows on the drivers side. Here are some pictures. This is after we cleaned up the windows and the road a little bit.

So now we get to go back and get two more windows replaced. Yeah!!!

This is how our cat Misty likes to be carried around. If you pick her up she just crawls right up on your shoulders, wraps herself around and hangs on. She mostly does it to Allison, but will also do this to me.

First day of school

Ashley going off to third grade with her nerds rock t-shirt. She is so excited for third grade because she has one of the best teachers EVER...Miss Crump.

This is Jason thinking he is ready for school. Do you notice what is missing? When he was younger we used to get all the way to school before we noticed he had no shoes!!

Allison and friend( and carpool-mate) Taylor going off to ninth grade. And of course there is no picture of Jarin, but just so you all know he is a Senoir this year. It leaves me wondering....how did that happen?

The last of summer fun

We had to miss the word camp-out. Ashley was very sad so Allison suggested they have a camp out in her room. The ate snacks and watched Tangled on the portable DVD.

Here we are at the zoo

with all the monkies and the

dinasours.

Family reunion at Bear Lake

I didn't get very many pictures, I must have been having too much fun. The Jensen's loved the family reunion. Thank-you to all who helped so much to make it so fun. Thanks to Uncle Karl and Uncle Scott for bringing your boats and for being so patient and fun. Thanks to Uncle Dan and Aunt Kim for the wonderful breakfasts and lunches. Thanks to Aunt Nancy and Kristen for the fun crafts. Thanks to Uncle Lonny for the awesome lodge. Thanks to everyone else for having cute fun kids to play with and watch, for being fun and happy, for being good sports during the crazy games. My family came away with great memories. Aunt Jana and Grandma enjoying the first of two yummy milkshake treat nights.

Ashley and Kirsten. Ashley really enjoyed playing with Kirsten and all the second cousins (as well as all the first cousins).

The game room was great and well equipped. Jarin came home thinking we needed to have a pool table.

Ashley and Nate in an intense game of fuse ball.

Allison and Emily do not look quite as intense.

Relaxing at the beach.

Michael and Jarin wanted to bury someone in the sand...but who?

Uncle Ryan, Grandma, Kate, and Ashley enjoying a float on the lake.

Guess who they talked into being buried?

Last time we went to Bear Lake I promised Allison we would ride horses. For one reason or another it did not happen. So this year I kept my promise. I am so glad I did. It was so much fun and my kids talked about it all the way home.

Ashley's horse was named Shoshone. He was almost 30 years old and the perfect horse for Ashley. I could hear her behind me talking to him the entire time, telling how sweet he was and how much she loved him. She has now decided she is either going to raise horses or dolphins when she grows up. She can't decide which right now.

Jarin was not going to ride a horse, but we talked him into it. He really enjoyed it. The fact that he let us take a picture of him on his horse is proof of that.

Curesearch 2011

Allison "walked for the cure" of childhood cancer with her friend Taylor. Taylor's sister Brinley won her battle with Lukemia last year in November.
