Star achievments

In Ashley's kindergarten class they give out these bags with activities in them that the kids get to take home and do. One is the star student bag which is for the student who has been best that day. Ashley has been working very hard for that one. We have even had many tears over her not getting it. Well she got it on Friday. She was so excited. She told me that she had been trying so hard to earn it that day that she felt like she had "steam coming out of her ears." Yeah Ashley.

Jason earned his first tip in Karate. Once you have earned three tips then you can test for your next belt. It got a little scary when they tested him on the attention stance. You have to stand perfectly still. All you can do is breath and blink. Anyone who knows Jason knows how hard that can be. They test the class together. 3 out of 4 times he had to sit because he was wiggling. The helper told him he needed to hold still. Jason said "it is so hard I have too many wiggles" the helper said "you just have to do it". So the next time he did!! I am not sure he even breathed our blinked. Yeah Jason!

Poor Ashley

We had a scarey experience on Sunday. Ashley was waiting outside to go for a walk. She tried to flip herself into the back of the truck using the handle of the tailgate for leverage. Needless to say it opened. She fell hitting her head pretty hard on the cement floor of the garage. We all tried to stay calm and access the situation, but there was a lot of blood. We got her cleaned up well enough to get her to the instacare. She ended up with 5 stitches and 9 staples. She is the first child to get stitches in our family and she is probably the calmest child we have. They said she would be tired and feel a little sick for a while. We got her a blessing when she got home and she is doing so well we have to remind her to stay calm. When I was out the next day cleaning up all the blood she came out and jumped up on the tailgate of the truck. We all yelled ASHLEY and all she could say was "what". So needless to say she is doing great. She did so well we even went to the crazy corn maze for FHE. It was fun but stressful for me because I kept having to tell her to slow down and stop running.
