Allison's quilt is finally done!!!!!

Allison has been wanting to make a quilt for her personal progress for the longest time.  I kept putting her off because I did not know how to even begin to make a quilt.  So one day we were at Hobby Lobby and we decided to look into making her quilt.  The lady at hobby lobby was so nice and walked us through the entire process.  It was a fun experience and was a lot of work and some trouble but she is finally finish.  I think it looks pretty good. Allison is now the quilt maker in our family.

She came up with the idea of what to do and what to put on the squares.  They are some of her favorite words.  She also picked out the colors.  Well done Allison.

dance pictures 2012

The theme was " The happiest place on earth" This is Allison's jazz picture.   She danced to a song from "up".  She did an awesome job.  The dress was cute on stage.
 Allison's tap competition dance.
Ashley's jazz dance.  She danced to a song from the frog princess called New Orleans.
Her ballet dance was beautiful.  They were the white witches of Narnia.
They messed up on her tap picture and gave us the wrong ones so when I get the right ones I will post it also.  The dance rehearsel/recital took three long days this year.  It was fun and exhausting at the same time.

Jarin's Graduation Day.

Jarin's 18th birthday

Jarin is trying to look excited about getting a new comforter to take to college.  We just did not think he would want to take his spider man comforter he got for his 8th birthday.
Jarin and his luck bamboo. We hope it works.
It was a big weekend for Jarin's mom.  First her oldest son graduated from High School, then he turned 18.  How is this even possible?
Allison had her ninth grade awards assembly.  She got an award for having a 4.0 her ninth grade year, a 3.5 or higher for all 3 years and a special award in social studies.
Her concert choir also sang two songs.  They sounded great and looked cute too!

Jarin's Eagle

First Jason earned some merit badges-first aid and emergency preparedness. Don't ya love how you always seem to get the top of someone's shiny head in these pictures?

This is Jarin's display table. He gathered school supplies to donate to the homeless shelter. Thanks to all the familyand ward members who donated and helped make his project such a success.

This is Sister Payne who was the advanced person in the scouts for a VERY long time.

Brother Cahoon leading them in the Eagle Scout oath.

Jason and his troop did the flag ceremony.

Here are the four Eagle Scouts. Justin, Braden, Josh and Jarin( the three J's and a B) . I had three of them as wovles when they first started in the scouting program. Copngratulations!!!!

Allison helped serve the yummy refreshments. We did nachos and eagle shaped chocolates.

Easter morning

Ashley and her bunny pillow pet. The plan was to hunt for baskets after church. Ashley was up at six. We never made any of the other kids wait until after church when they were little so I let her hunt for her basket.

Then Jason woke up and of course he needed to hunt for his basket also.

Then Jarin woke up and the little kids "helped" him look for his since they had already found it. As you can see(by her absence in this picture) Allison decided to get ready for church first.

She finally made it down in time for a goofy picture that, for some reason, Roxi thought she needed to be in too.

Have we mentioned that Jarin is going to BYU next year?!? We are so excited and proud of him. So the Easter bunny brought him something to wear to the games:).

Our egg hunt gets less and less exciting every year. We had to talk Jason into doing it this year because Ashley did not want to do it alone.

Jason turns twelve

This is Jason's minecraft creeper cake.

He wanted to go mini golfing wth the family for his birthday.

so Jason's birthday was the day before Easter this year. We had to throw coloring eggs in too.

When Jason was little Santa brought the two boys socker bockers. He has wanted more ever since his last ones popped.

The biggest thing Jason wanted was a monopoly game, the "original"monopoly game like you play at grandma's. This game took 2 hours!!!

Graduating from dare. Yeah Jason.

Dancing to in step with Bo Jangles.  They have had to carry these stairs everywhere and  they are very heavy.  Allison should be very buff by the end of the competition season.
