My family was feeling all sad and depressed because school will be starting in less then a week. James was feeling ansy also so he decided to take us on a little weekend mini vacation. It was one of the very funnest things I have ever done in my entire life. (And to think we were in Idaho). We got a hotel in Idaho Falls. We swam and ate dinner and swam and watched a movie and swam and had a great breakfast and swam and checked out and..... went to bear world. It was so fun. We saw wolves.
and a rare white elk

and giant trout. Jason was so sad he could not fish for these giant trout. We told him they were for the bears

We saw a moose.

and turkeys

and deer

and lots and lots of bears. I love bears.

We fed the bears. They would sit up and wave. I think I may have been in heaven.

Allison liked the baby goat. There were so many fun animals in the petting zoo.

Such a fun vacation. We laughed and had fun and enjoyed each other. I think we may even be ready for school to start now. Such a fun weekend!!

I am not sure why all these pictures came up like this but I don't know how to edit it all. But my cute kids and my husband were so cute about making sure I got to bottle feed a baby bear. They all know how much I love bears and how I am always saying that I wish I could grab one and hug it to death. This was soooooo much fun!!! I recommend bear world to everyone!!!

Warining: 10 days worth of pictures from G-ma's house

A little out of order this one is. We were all watching the humungus fire that was burning on the hill across summitview. It happened on Sunday which was our first official day at Grandma's house. The lights went out for a while and things got a little scarey but by morning it was pretty much out. This is before the fire got too bad. By the time is raging my battery had died on my camera. James has some on his phone but I do not know how to get them on the computer. Maybe that can be a "p.s." picture.

Jarin and Allison with Papa. It was fun to have him sit in his chair and be in on all the action.

Nathan, Ashley and Allison picked a bunch of Grandma's raspberries, Aunt Jana made angel food cakes and we had cake, ice cream and fresh raspberries. Yum!!! It was almost as good as the strawberry/ruebarb(sp?) pie.

Fun in the pool with the cousins who are left. We missed the cousins who are now grown up and gone.

Trying to get a good picture of all three dogs proved difficult. This is the best we could do. They were cute together.

Eschbach!!!! Another tradition. Again we missed the cousins that are gone. But still had fun. It was pretty quiet though.

Ashley loves to read. She is "I spying" with Nathan.

Waiting for golf clubs

Micheal attacking Jarin before he is even unhitched!!! I love the bumper boats because everyone is all smiles and giggles the entire time.

Ashley used to be scared to death of the water. I put her in swimming lessons this year. It was just level one because she would not even blow bubbles. It worked because she is now a little fish and loved being able to walk out the door and swim.

I had to take a picture of the famous hole. I don't think I have one.

Grandma and Allison admiring Grandma's clean and shiney pool.

Here is a good picture of three dogs. Oh wait, one of them is a boy!!

We had so much fun at Grandma's house. Thank-you Grandma for letting us come. Thank-you Uncle Karl for telling Jason that it was "his day" on the water skiing day. He loved that. Thank-you Uncle Scott and Uncle Karl for taking us out in your boats it was such and enjoyable day. I wish I would have had my camera. Nathan, Jason, and Jarin all got up on the wake board for the first time. We also loved jumping out to swim and making the semi's honk on the bridge and listening to our echos bounce of the rocks.
Thank-you Aunt Jana and Aunt Nancy for always doing things to make our stay fun. Michael and Nathan--we had so much fun. Thank-you Thank-you Thank-you

Here is a picture the young mens president took of Jarin on Trek. Looks fun huh? People ask why they just didn't go around all the mud. I guess they have to stick to the trail no matter what. Wyoming state law. I told Jarin that it must have made it feel like what the real handcart pioneers went through. He said "No. They would have gone around."

Riding the Tram at Snowbird

This picture is out of order. But Jason found delight in pretending he was falling down a steep cliff, hanging on for dear life. The first time he did this it was very convincing and he scared his mother to death. After the third time it was not so scarey.
Before school got out in June, Ashley was watching a show that had a tram on it. She told me she had always wanted to ride one of those and asked if we could do it sometime. I said that was a great idea lets put it on a "fun things to do this summer" list. So we did. The list has about five things on it. So far this is the only thing we have done on the list. But it was a lot of fun.Waiting to board the tram. Waiting is not a strength for Jason.

Ashley was so excited and loved every minute of it.

Jarin did enjoy it also he just hasn't willfully smiled in a photo since he was two years old.

It was very beautiful and a little scarey at the top.

A shot from the tram. It was a long way down.

Ashley liked all the flags.
