A little summer fun

I knew we needed a little structure this summer especially for Jason and Ashley, so I set up a little reward system where they earn points for chores and good behavior. (They can also have points taken away) Each time they reach 100 points they get to earn something. They choose what they earn before they start working on their next set of points. The first thing Ashley wanted to earn was a whole container of cookie dough ice cream ALL TO HERSELF. She did not want to share. So here she is the day she earned it eating right out of the container. To my suprise nobody else thought this was wrong and they all thought she deserved to have it all to herself.

back-yard golf

James has golf fever and has passed it on to the boys. Here they are practicing their golf swing. It looks choreographed to me.

The cats love this activity. They will sit and wait for a ball to be golfed and then they take after it at top speed. Unfortunatley their mouths are too small to pick the balls up and Roxi usually gets them instead.

Ashley--she danced to a song from Monsters Inc. It was supposed to be "being silly" . The costume did not really match but it is cute!!

Happy seventeenth birthday Jarin!!!

I don't know how my kids keep getting older, yet I stay the same. I can not believe that this boy is 17 already. How did that happen?

He does not like pictures and he definately will not smile. This is as close as I got. Gotta love him.

Dance

We picked up our dance costumes on Friday. Ashley has been waiting for this one since her tap teacher told her class what the costumes would look like. She is dancing to I love Rock and Roll. She did not want to take it off and keeps asking to try it on. So fun.

I think the shorts are cute with their little bows. Dance is fun.

Allison had another competition this weekend and her team did their best performance ever and it paid off because they took first in the tap division. They were so excited.

Easter 2011

The girls in their dresses. Such beautiful girls I have.

Jarin has been taking a foods class. He likes to make us stuff from the class. He was very excited to make us this entirely from scratch banana meringue pie. It was soooooo yummy and looks pretty too. Who says kids don't learn in school?

Jason is just recently into Pokeman. He got a game/card set from the Easter Bunny. He was very excited.

Ashley got a mini penguin pillow pet. She loves penguins. We don't know why.
