Sir Jason of Jensen

Jason earned his Arrow of Light last night. Along with his twenty pin patch. He earned all twenty of the Weeblo pins. That was his goal when he started Weeblos and he was pretty proud of himself for accomplishing a goal.
King Brian Smith made a special visit to our pack meeting just to knight Jason and his friend Noah and to award them with their special arrow of truth.

A tale of two kitties

Once upon a time we had two kitties. Copper and Oakie. Copper grew old and passed away. Oakie grew too much to care for and was given away. Since then my kids have asked for more kittens. Heres how the conversation usually goes.
Kids: Lets go get a kitty
Mom: No
Kids: When can we have another kitten.
Mom: Never--or when you move out and have your own house.
Kids: Why can't we have a kitten
Mom: I hate litter boxes
Kids: We will change the litter box and do whatever it takes to take care of it.
Mom: What, like you did last time?
Kids(mostly Allison): Mom we were little then. We will take care of them
Mom: No!!!!!!! Never more kitties
Well they begged and begged and acted like their entire life's happiness depended on getting a kitty. So I thought about it and decided why not if it will make them happy--getting a kitty is not that big a deal. So on Martin Luther King day we went looking for a kitty. We could not find any. Most of them were big. James looked on KSL and found a lady who had two kittens but would like them to stay together. We went to look with the idea that we would either only take one or take them both and find someone else who wanted a kitty. Well we took them both and I don't think we will be getting rid of either one any time soon. So, meet the two newest memebers of the Jensen household:
Stanely--sweet calm, does not climb scratch or go places he should not--not very cuddley.
Misty--hyper, happy, cuddley, into everything, on everything into all places she should not go.

Together they make the perfect kitty.
OK here is the payoff. Smiley, happy kids(even the dog is happy that we have kittens). Call me crazy but I like to make my kids happy every now and then. So I went from "No kitties ever" to having two kitties. Wish me luck.
I have not had to scoop the poop, feed them, or brush them. My kids , so far, are living up to their promises. We shall see how long it lasts.

glasses, tap shoes and New Year's Eve

Ashley got glasses. She is so happy that she can finally see. It took me a while to get used to them, but she is very cute with them on.
The girls sang all night long.
Jason and Jarin watching Hockey on New Year's Eve.

These are Allison's tap shoes she had to have for her competition tap ensemble. They are so cute and comfy too.

Christmas time

James enjoying Jason's toys a little too much.
Allison and her guitar. She is teaching herself to play.

Jarin and his very cool Red Wings hat.

Who knew but these la la loopsy dolls were the hard to get toy this year. We were finally able to find one on KSL. It is so worth the smile.

All Ashley wanted was a Sing-a-ma-jig. She kept asking me if I bought one and I kept saying "no" but Santa brought her one!

Christmas Jammies. Jarin's shirt says "those who think they know everything annoy those of us who do" Anyone not think that that is perfect for Jarin?

Here is Ashley in the school Christmas program(different from the choir).

Ashley is in the elementary school choir. They did the cutest Christmas concert. They all had to dress up as a "Who". The Grinch was even there.

Jarin took second place in his weight class (171) at the first tournament of the year this weekend. That thing on his cheek is a mat burn. He has worked really hard over the last 2 years and we are very proud of him. I tried to catch a smile, but he has not willingly smiled for the camera since he was two years old and we went to Oak Harbor for a family reunion.

My baby got baptized this weekend

She was so excited but acted very shy.
James was very nervous but he did an awesome job. They are so cute in their white.

Ashley got this scripture bag, bracelet and necklace for her baptism. She was very happy to have her own scriptures.

She also got a pocket children's song book. She loves to read the songs.

We are so proud of her for her choice. Thank - you to all the family and friends who came to support her in this great event.

Allison turning fourteen!!!

She wanted a fancy straightener for her birthday. Her hair looked really good this morning after she used it. We had her birthday celebration last night(11-22) because Dad had to work late tonight.

Allison is a sweetheart. She is fun and fun-loving and kind. She makes our life fun. We love you Allison.
